What this covers

This policy covers the LensVault service and this website.

It does not affect who owns your photographs. They remain yours, and nothing here changes that.

What we hold

  • When you sign up: your name, your email address, your business name and what you do.
  • If you sign in with Google: your email address and the fact that Google has verified it.
  • Permission to read the Google Drive folder you choose to share with us — that folder only, and read-only.
  • What you do in the app: the pictures in your library, the tags and notes you write, the projects you build and the contact sheets you send.
  • Basic technical records: the times you signed in, the browser and device you used, and errors the app ran into.
  • Payments are handled by a payment provider. We never see or hold your full card number.

The AI tagging

Tag suggestions are a starting point, not the last word. You are expected to correct them, and correcting them is normal use of the app.

Your corrections teach the tagging in your own library only. They are never applied to another customer's library.

Your photographs are not used to train any general-purpose AI model.

Who else sees it

  • Base44 — the platform LensVault runs on, and sign-in
  • Google — the Drive folder you shared with us, and Google sign-in
  • Cloudinary — the web-sized copies of your pictures
  • Cloudflare — delivery of full-resolution files
  • Anthropic — tag suggestions
  • Resend — sending emails
  • Stripe — payments, once charging begins

Some of these suppliers are outside the United Kingdom. Where that is so, the transfer is protected by the safeguards UK law requires.

We do not sell your data, and we allow no advertising in LensVault.

Sharing your work

A contact sheet shows only the pictures you chose to put in it. It expires after fourteen days, and the person you sent it to needs no account.

A colleague you invite onto a library can see everything in that library. Invite with that in mind.

How long we keep it

Account information is kept while you have an account, and then for six years for tax purposes.

If you close your account, your library and the copies of your images are deleted within thirty days.

Your originals in Google Drive are untouched. We only ever had permission to read that folder, never to remove anything from it.

Temporary full-resolution delivery copies delete themselves after about fourteen days.

Your rights

You have the right to be told what we hold, to get a copy of it, to have mistakes corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw consent to marketing at any time.

Ask by writing to hello@lensvault.co.uk. We will not charge you and we will reply within one month.

You may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would much rather you came to us first, so we can put it right.

Cookies

We use only what is needed to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure.

We measure how the app is used without tracking cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.

Children

LensVault is a business tool. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly hold information about children.

Changes to this policy

If we change anything material in this policy, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
